What
is
FlexFlow?
FlexFlow Itineraries plans each day around one must-do Anchor and a few nearby Orbits (easy options for morning, afternoon, and evening). If something changes—tired kids, crowds, rain, closures—use a Pivot to swap in another option. You keep the day on track without re-planning everything.
The four building blocks
- Anchor – Your one big thing for the day. A flexible time window, not a strict slot.
- Orbits – Good nearby ideas for morning, afternoon, and evening—so you can mix and match.
- Pivots – Quick swaps for real-life changes (tired kids, rain, crowds, closures, traffic).
- Pace – Set the vibe: Chill • Balanced • Packed—go slower or add more when you feel like it.
Why plans change (and why flexible wins)
Trips rarely run on a strict schedule. Things happen—and that’s okay. A flexible plan means you don’t lose your day when life shows up.
Common reasons you’ll change plans (with easy swaps):
Energy & mood
You’re tired or the kids need a break → pick a short, easy nearby stop (playground, café, viewpoint) and do the big sight later.
Crowds & lines
It’s packed or time slots are gone → visit a quieter place now; go back to the main sight in late afternoon.
Hours & closures
The museum/lift is closed today → switch to a similar highlight nearby and save the original for another day.
Weather & air
Rain, heat wave, wind, smoke → move indoors, choose shade/cooler spots, or go lower in altitude.
Running late
Overslept, traffic, missed the bus → choose a quick pair of nearby stops and slide your main visit window.
Mobility & access
too many stairs or stroller issues → pick step-free paths, elevators, smooth walks.
Budget shift
Want a cheaper day → use free parks/viewpoints today; save paid activities for tomorrow.
Transport problems
Strikes, delays, no parking → switch to walkable or transit-friendly options in the same area.
Happy surprises
You found a great beach/café and want to stay → enjoy it and drop the faraway stop.
