Why did you become a tour guide?
I love New York and meeting people of different cultures and countries to whom I want to show all that our great city has to offer
What do you like the most about being a tour guide?
The possibility to work with people and have them appreciate the city from me a different angle.
What is the hardest part about being a tour guide?
I love all of it.
Pick a city you love, and name your top five things tourists must do in the city
I choose New York:
- Enjoy the view from above from one of the observatory platforms
- Go to a Broadway show
- See a basketball /baseball or other sports event
- Take a guided tour to the outer boroughs. New York is not limited to Manhattan
- See Times Square, find a spot, and look the world pass by
In that city, name one dish they must taste and in which restaurant?:
A slice of New York pizza at Joe’s in Greenwich Village.
What do you take with you on every tour?
Comfortable shoes, water, sunscreen and hand sanitizer
Why should tourists join a guided tour or hire a private tour guide?
A tour guide knows the hidden spots that tourists may miss and give useful advice on how to use the city.
Could you tell me an interesting or funny story that happen to you with tourists?
I explained how to use the subway and later on someone tried to take the train entering a Subway sandwich shop.
Which destinations are still on your bucket list that you still haven’t traveled to?
A few around the world although I have traveled to 190 countries so far.
If you could recommend one place in the world everyone must see, what would it be?
New York – for its uniqueness, attractions, history, architecture, food, people, lifestyle, fashion, and more.
Anything else you wish to share with our travelers’ community?
I have 20 years’ experience in travel planning around the world.
