Categories: Traveling | General

Kyoto is one of the world's most popular cultural destinations, meaning iconic landmarks like Fushimi Inari Taisha and the Arashiyama Bamboo Grove become heavily congested by 8:30 AM. To experience the serene atmosphere depicted in photographs, plan your visits for sunrise or early dawn.

Fushimi Inari is open 24 hours a day and completely free to enter. Arriving between 6:00 AM and 7:00 AM allows you to walk through the thousands of vermilion Torii gates in peaceful solitude as morning light filters through the forest canopy.
