Board the Floating Ships on a Combined Ticket

Historic three-masted tall ship moored alongside the brick quayside at the Port Museum in Dunkirk.
Categories: Preparation | General

When visiting the Musée Portuaire, do not limit your visit to the main exhibitions inside the 19th-century former tobacco warehouse. The true highlight of the museum is its floating heritage fleet moored along the quayside of the Bassin du Commerce, which includes the majestic three-masted tall ship Duchesse Anne, the historic lightship Sandettié, and the steam tugboat Guilde.

Opt for the full combined ticket to explore below-deck quarters, engine rooms, and historic captain cabins. Because exploring these vintage vessels requires navigating narrow passageways, steep companionway stairs, and open gangways, wear sturdy, flat-soled walking shoes and avoid carrying oversized backpacks.
