Bypass Coastal Gridlock with Bay Speedboats

During July and August, the single two-lane coastal road running along the edge of the Bay of Kotor experiences severe traffic jams, particularly around narrow choke points near the Vrmac tunnel and the road to Perast. A drive that takes 15 minutes off-season can easily stretch into an hour or more in summer heat.

Whenever possible, choose water taxis and speedboats leaving directly from the Kotor city park marina to travel across the bay. Water transport is not only significantly faster, but it also gives you front-row views of dramatic cliff faces plunging into the bay and the ancient baroque architecture lining the coast.

Opting for a boat transfer is the most relaxing and efficient way to reach attractions like Our Lady of the Rocks, the Blue Cave on the Luštica Peninsula, and neighboring seaside restaurants without spending your vacation trapped behind tour buses.
