Drive the Strada della Forra Early

Famous for its appearance in James Bond's Quantum of Solace, the Strada della Forra (SP38) winds through a breathtaking, narrow canyon up to the plateau of Tremosine sul Garda. It is widely considered one of the most scenic drives in the world, but it can quickly turn into a stressful nightmare during peak hours when gridlock strikes the narrow cliffside tunnels.

To enjoy the drive safely without traffic jams, start your ascent before 8:30 AM or attempt it in the late evening. Note that during high summer months, traffic regulations often make specific narrow sections one-way heading uphill in the afternoon, so always verify local municipal traffic rules before setting off.
