Respect the New Rules of the Wall

Categories: Health & Safety | General
Many travelers arrive at the John Lennon Wall expecting to whip out a can of spray paint and freely leave their mark. However, due to severe vandalism and degradation, the wall was transformed into an official open-air gallery. Spray painting is now strictly prohibited and can result in heavy fines from local police who patrol the area regularly.
If you still want to leave a message of peace or love, you are permitted to use chalk, markers, or colored pencils, but only in designated "free creation" zones. Respecting these guidelines ensures this historic monument remains beautiful for future generations.
