Take the Regional TER Train Instead of the RER D

When traveling from Paris to Chantilly, board a regional TER Hauts-de-France train departing from Paris Gare du Nord rather than the commuter RER line D. The direct TER takes roughly 25 minutes to arrive at the Chantilly-Gouvieux station, whereas the multi-stop RER D takes upwards of 50 minutes and is prone to suburban delays.

Be aware that Chantilly is located in the Oise department, placing it just outside the standard Île-de-France transit network. A standard Navigo Pass (Zones 1-5) will not cover the full route without purchasing a specific point-to-point ticket or paying the regional supplement. Purchase your SNCF ticket via the official app before boarding to avoid queuing at station kiosks.
