Understand the Two-Part Layout Before You Enter

The memorial consists of two distinct spaces with separate entrances: the underground crypt where the paratroopers made their heroic last stand, and the upper Orthodox Cathedral of Saints Cyril and Methodius. The museum exhibition entrance is located on Resslova Street, which takes you through an informative, chronological exhibit of Operation Anthropoid before leading directly into the cold stone crypt.
Many visitors accidentally bypass the upper church interior. After paying your respects in the subterranean crypt, walk around to the main cathedral entrance to observe the serene baroque interior, where the initial shootout began on June 18, 1942. Dress respectfully and maintain silence throughout, as the crypt serves as a consecrated resting place and national shrine.
