Bring Your Own Headwear

As a sign of respect, men are required to cover their heads when entering the Jewish Museum sites, particularly the Old Jewish Cemetery and the synagogues. While the ticket offices provide free, disposable paper Kippahs (yarmulkes), these are notorious for blowing away in the slightest Prague breeze and can be uncomfortable to wear.

To avoid constantly chasing a piece of paper across a sacred cemetery, bring your own hat, cap, or fedora. Any respectful head covering is perfectly acceptable and will keep you comfortable throughout your walking tour of Josefov.
