Admission pricing for the museum fluctuates dramatically depending on the time of year. From November 1 to March 31, ticket prices are automatically reduced by 50% across all state archaeological museums in Greece, making winter travel exceptionally cost-effective.

Furthermore, entry is entirely free on specific cultural dates throughout the year: the first Sunday of each month between November and March, March 6 (Melina Mercouri Day), April 18 (International Monuments Day), May 18 (International Museums Day), the last weekend of September (European Heritage Days), and October 28 (Oxi Day).

If you plan to visit during peak summer months (April to October), purchase your timed-entry tickets online through the official Hellenic Heritage e-ticketing portal in advance to bypass long ticket booth queues in the midday sun.
