Many visitors overlook the fact that a standard entrance ticket to the Mauritshuis includes complimentary admission to the Gallery Prince William V (Galerij Prins Willem V). Located just a short five-minute walk across the historic Binnenhof courtyard, this satellite site is the Netherlands' very first public museum, opened in 1774.

Step into an opulent, floor-to-ceiling arrangement of 17th- and 18th-century paintings hung in the traditional Baroque salon style. It is rarely crowded, offers an authentic historical atmosphere, and provides excellent context for how aristocratic collections were originally presented.
