Navigating Milan's public transit system (ATM) is extremely smooth if you skip paper tickets. When traveling from Malpensa Airport into the city center, take the Malpensa Express train to Cadorna station instead of Milano Centrale if your hotel is near the historic center. Cadorna is smaller, less congested, and connects directly to the M1 and M2 metro lines.
